Hi, I’m Staci
Your Birth, Postpartum & Bereavement Doula in the greater area of Charlotte, North Carolina
I’m Staci, a professional, certified birth and postpartum doula and CLC honored to be serving families around the greater Charlotte, Hickory, Statesville and Winston-Salem areas of North Carolina. I believe deeply in birthing, babies, and the quiet inner wisdom that guides us through pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood.
There is no single “right” way to give birth—only the way that feels safest, most supported, and most aligned for you. Whether you’re planning a vaginal birth, cesarean birth, water birth, medicated birth, VBAC, or something in between, my role is to walk beside you with steady, compassionate, and evidence-based support.
When you hire me, you’re not just hiring a doula—you’re gaining a calm, knowledgeable advocate who believes in you, listens deeply, and helps you trust yourself every step of the way.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
Birth is intense, emotional, and unforgettable. You deserve someone in your corner who shows up fully—for your questions, your fears, your hopes, and your boundaries.
As your doula, I offer:
-
Unbiased, evidence-based education so you can make informed decisions with confidence
-
Emotional support that centers your experience and honors your feelings
-
Physical comfort measures during labor and birth
-
Continuous presence—you’re never alone in this
-
Respect for every family and every birth path
Together with your partner or chosen support person, we create a space where your voice matters and your choices are honored. My goal is for you to walk away from your birth feeling supported, respected, and proud of your experience—no matter how your baby arrives.
Why I Became a Doula
My path into birth work began after the birth of my oldest child in 2010. At the time, I believed I had experienced an empowering birth—but I later realized that empowerment came from constantly advocating for myself in a system that didn’t naturally offer informed choice or support.
I knew something wasn’t right.
Families shouldn’t have to fight to feel heard, respected, or safe during birth. That realization changed everything for me.
Several years later, I experienced two deeply healing water births - births shaped by education, preparation, and genuine support. Those experiences showed me how powerful birth can feel when families are informed, trusted, and truly supported.
That is the kind of care I now offer every family I serve.
Inclusive, Evidence-Based Care You Can Trust
I’ve been supporting families for well over a decade and have intentionally pursued training that is inclusive, comprehensive, and rooted in current research. I began my training with DONA International and later completed advanced education through Bebo Mia, known for its holistic and evidence-based approach to birth and postpartum care. I am now certified through CAPPA and Birth Arts International.
I support families planning hospital births, home births, and birth center deliveries, and I specialize in:
-
Birth doula support
-
VBAC
-
Postpartum doula care
-
Pregnancy loss, stillbirth, and bereavement support
-
Placenta encapsulation
-
Hypnosis-supported birth (Hypnobabies®)
-
Breastfeeding and lactation education
I continue to attend workshops and professional trainings so I can offer care that reflects best practices and evolving evidence—because your family deserves nothing less.

A Little About Me - Beyond Birth
When I’m not attending births or supporting families, I’m usually outside with my kids—gardening, hiking, swimming, or enjoying sports whenever possible. We’re a sports-loving family, deeply involved in cheerleading, basketball, and soccer as players, coaches, referees, and enthusiastic supporters.
I also love sewing, crocheting, reading, and supporting local businesses throughout North Carolina. I value real connection and meaningful conversation, and I’m always happy to answer questions or simply talk things through.
Let’s Connect
Choosing a doula is deeply personal. If you’re looking for someone who will listen, support you without judgment, and walk beside you with calm confidence and care, I would be honored to support your family.
