"  I  am a strong believer in birthers, babies and the inherent wisdom and instinctual capabilities within all of us to give birth in the way that suits us best."

Staci Campbell

I really am. I believe in birth and I believe in support during birth. I also believe you know how best to birth your baby, whether it be via cesarean birth, vaginal birth, water birth, or fully medicated birth. You truly have the wisdom within, to know what is right for your journey. Part of my being a doula is offering unbiased and evidence based educational support to you and your family so you know inside your core that you are in control of your birthing journey. Here is one of my FAVORITE quotes:

Statesville Doula & Lactation Quote

Together with your partner (or support person), we will hold space for and support you in all the ways you need and want. We are your team and we are here for you. After all, this moment will be one you remember forever, let's make it perfect.

Hi, my name is Staci and I am Vermont native who moved to North Carolina in 2014. I am a wife and mother of three children and two rescue kitties Billy and Leo. My passion for birth work began after the somewhat traumatic birth of my oldest in 2010. I left that birth with what I had believed to be empowerment but soon after, realized the empowerment I felt was based off of my consistently advocating for and defending myself in the birth space. I realized we shouldn't HAVE to fight for how we want to birth in order to feel a false sense of empowerment. Once I had this epiphany, I felt in my heart of hearts that I never wanted another family to have to jump through hurdles to have the birth they desire. Four years later, I went on to have two more completely healing water births and base the healing on becoming informed after my first birth. Now, I support all mothers and their families through this journey called birth and I ABSOLUTELY respect and honor the process and the family.  The well known quote "choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life," is my mantra. I love what I do, I love the people I meet, and I am humbled and honored to witness families growing.

In 2010, after the birth of my oldest daughter, I signed up with DONA as a birth doula. Since then, I have constantly immersed myself in all things pregnancy and birth. Once I moved to North Carolina, I decided that I needed a more inclusive and comprehensive training and decided to train through Bebo Mia, a Canadian based doula training agency. Through them, I grew as a person and as a doula and truly feel as though I am able to provide COMPLETELY unbiased and evidence based care and research to each and every person and family I meet. I also trained and certified as a placenta specialist through IPPA, International Placenta and Postpartum Association. I, then, became certified as a stillbirthday birth and bereavement doula offering bereavement services and support to those who experience a loss in any trimester of their pregnancy. I am a trained Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula supporting families who  choose hypnosis for childbirth, certified postpartum doula through BAI, a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) through ALPP, a certified childbirth educator through Gentlebirth and a trained general childbirth educator through BAI. I will continue to attend workshops, seminars, and trainings as a way to stay on top of all new evidence based information and best practices.

The Statesville Doula

When I am not attending births or processing placentas, I enjoy being outside with my kids. We LOVE gardening, hiking, swimming, and running barefoot. We are a cheerleading, basketball and SOCCER adoring, coaching, and playing family!! I love sewing, crocheting and a good book when I have moments to myself. You may find me at local farmers markets as I love supporting local business. I am literally an open book, so if you ever have questions, I will be more than happy to chat with you!

PEACE, LOVE, AND BABIES,

Staci
